Wasn't as good as i expected...but still not bad either. With such good ratings, my expectations were way up there in the nines. This barely made my 8.5 grade!

I could tell right off the bat I could tell there was some clone 777 in here. It's one of my favorite PN clones with notes of wet earth and mushroom but with soft red fruit. Nice structure and acid. I'm enjoying this a lot.

The Monet block is so different from the Pommard block of the same vintage. This wine has much deeper color but much less fruit. Tannins are very pronounced and need more time to tame and hopefully there will be enough fruit to reach balance.
