Medium ruby , with quite a light garnet ruby rim . This has quite a meaty nose , with spiced currants , dried rose and menthol hints . On the palate this show similar in style to the nose with red plum , dried cherry , menthol and liquorice notes . This is quite rustic though serious in style with slightly drying tannins and fresh acidity along with a touch of alcohol noticable on the palate . Medium length with a spiced dried cherry finish . Showing well now , needs some food to round out the structure , but will continue to drinking well over the next 5 or so years

A fun wine to introduce brunello/sangiovese! Aroma is bright red cherry and red bark. First flavors are nutty, toffee, maraschino cherry. Then develop into orange peel, hibiscus, and cocoa. Body is medium light and quick to leave the tongue. A fun wine to pair with food or to have on a sunny afternoon.
