
The guy at the PA state store said this was “rustic” like it was a bad thing (probably because he was trying to sell me Vietti for twice as much after he saw I was willing to spend $20 on dolcetto). Glad I didn’t listen to him. This was a damn good wine for $13.

Come on what's not to like here. Quick trip to Poundbury, admire L Krier's handiwork, swing into Dorset Wines, pay less than 20 quid and come out with a structured (but not evisceratingly tannic) neb that delivers petals and hints that it'll tar up, but while also keeping its focus firmly on cherries. I have barolo in my garage. It makes me weep that I've got at least another 3 years before I can touch it. None of those problems here.
