•Nose: Coffee, dark chocolate, nutmeg, anise, cinnamon, smoke. No signs of much fruit on the nose, maybe a faint hint of dark cherry.
•Palate: Full bodied, high alcohol, high tannins. Lots of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and cumin. Just like the nose I'm not getting much fruit. I think this wine needs aging and I opened it too young. My final conclusion is this wine is good but has potential to be great. The spices are too harsh and needs time to mellow and maybe develop some more fruit nuances.

Love cannonau, aka Grenache. This is a simple and nice version with great strawberry and flowery notes with hint of spice. Almost smells like an Indian sweet.

Deep garnet color and full bodied. Blackberry and leather notes with a smooth lightly peppery finish and medium tannins. Delicious, great value meaty wine, souls possibly left to age a little longer.

Great as aperitif, holds up to spicy food. Light floral notes. Good value.
