Very rustic right off the bat.. Wild mushroom, tomato, and gravelly minerality on the nose.. As it sits, the nose becomes exotic with lovely red fruit. The palate is bright and acidic with plush raspberry, cocoa, and more minerality.. Becomes lush with time. Very nice for $22.. Complex form of aglianico with some rusticity.

Sweet red cherries, bacon, grilled herbs, iron and smoke jump from the glass in 2012 Irpinia Aglianico Tarì. A vibrant, fruit-driven Aglianico, the Tarì is a fabulous introduction to the wines of Antonio Caggiano. The 2012 is best enjoyed in its youth. (AG)

I won't comment too much since I fouled my taste buds with hot peppers and onion. This is really complex and round. Deserving of another serious look. Will buy again.
