Aromas of freshly cut oak trees, purple flowers and plums. Flavors of Dark cherry, baking spices, minerals and dill. Tannins are there, but they are refined. Excellent expression of this Umbrian wine.

Feb 1st, 2020Extremely smooth. Beautifully balanced; dark ruby red. On the nose there is jelly, and on the palate there is a light strawberries, apples, and a earthy finish. Was too good. Paired nicely with a tomato and mushroom rigatoni.

Tar flavor melt into berries, jam, confection. Very firm tannins.
BW “a lot of drying tannins like Barolo, but maybe not as interesting. Less charm that Nebbiolo.”
