Cantina Vignaioli; Vigneto Marcarini
Piedmont - Barbaresco; Elvio Pertinance, Treiso, Italy
Decanted +6H. Paired alongside a slow cooked Bolognese sauce over Pappardelle. Merry Christmas 2022 to everyone. š
Deep ruby, fading at edges. Nose has elegant blackberry mash, chocolate mint; Palate has ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, medium drying tannins. Drink future bottles 2027+.

Sep 15th, 2021Holding up very well for a 23 year old wine. Brick color. Surprising Tart taste. Fruit is fading, but good structure still remains. Had with pizza. It was much better without food.
$51.14 from Garagiste.com (a mystery wine)
