Nose is ripe and youthful as is the color. Minty and rubbery. What is up with these wines. Just off aromas no matter what age. Some good cherry fruit though. Smells pretty clean but not special. Palate is juicy, bitter and boring. Sigh. What a disappointment. Unbalanced and awkward. Sigh. Good concentration. Long-ish. But also hot and clunky.

Jul 31st, 2021Spice, ripe nose. Very tomatoey again. Sigh. I so wanted to like these wines. Mushrooms. Really not that great of a nose. Palate is hot, awkward, acrid and bitter. Just nasty. Huge tannins. Barely any fruit and what is there is overripe.

Jul 31st, 2021Here we go! Great nose of spice, florals and mid season cherries. Also ripe but not as bad as the 09. Really really floral and spicey. But still that hint of tomato. Grrr. Wild mint as well. Even some rosemary. Tree bark. Citrus zest. Great depth. Palate is the most youthful and tannic of them all. Big structure and mouth coating tannins. Good structure. Seems like a Ghemme in body and rusticity. Nice length. Solid
