Solid for its age. Took a bit of time to open up but good after a couple hours of air.

Purchased at the winery, a favorite from a Piedmonte trip. Nose of cool plum, cracked pepper, dark berry fruit and leather. Palate is juicy and rich, with a balance of acidity and chalky tannins. Licorice and forest berries bounce around. More complexity than other examples from the region. Outstanding QPR.
