Gorgeous. 17’s here are really developing nicely. Spice, red cherrie, soppy ripe red cherries but not over the top. Restrained ripeness. Loads of tar and hot concrete. Palate is so elegant with loads of ripe cherry fruit, spice and wonderful freshness and ripe, juicy tannins. Outstanding length. Satiny texture.

Such a fan of the Valtellinas, or as they call it chiavennasca. Leather, dried heather and cranberries and something super savory—mushrooms maybe—fight for attention. It amuses. Structurally balanced. Finishes earthy.

Aromas of rose petals, tar, some earth, but dried earth, leather and just so deep and so good. Classic. Like MGM classic. Wow. Palate is a dream. Succulent and supple with just insane juiciness and balance. Pure. All red fruit and just perfect balance and sweetness. Sappy and long. And my goodness is this elegant. Maybe the most elegant non riserva I’ve had from ar pe pe. Genius wine. Utter beauty.
