I do love my Primitivos. So when my rep suggested I try this one, specifically for the type of market I have In my region, I jumped on it. Now I know what type of wine these people drink. The nose shows more signs of chocolate covered boisenberry than anything pepper and berry related tones. However...upon airing out, it changed every 7 minutes or so. Dark ruby in color with a red rim.
Light nose of blueberries, strawberries, cherries and spices.
Medium minus in body.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, red currants, spices, coffee, licorice and black pepper.
Spicy finish with soft tannins.
A Nice ,easy drinking primitivo. Paired it with eggplant Panini

My first impression was quite good. Fruit head, moderate body, and a nice finish. But I didn't enjoy the way this wine developed. Could use some cheese to cut the acidity. Not a memorable wine.
