I hadn’t heard anyone talking about this vintage and now I know why. It’s unremarkable but really solid before diving into some bbq chicken.

Not my most favorite Cab, but good. It has an acid bight, followed with stone fruit; heavy plum and cherry, with a velvet low tannin finish. Tons of spice, so stay away from pepper heavy foods (sausage-pasta for example). Paired it with a white-truffle cheese that was delightful...the acid of the wine works well with the fats in a thick cheese.

First night of Spring Break 2017. We've come a long way from strollers and Disney World! Nice easy drinking Cab. Nothing complicated, nice fruit and mellow tannins, even the 21 year old is digging it.
