Blueberry, jasmine, a bit of a smoky finish. Slight bite with a bit of spice. Great with grass-fed steak.

A bit harsh for my tastes, which surprised me given how much I like the Reserva in general.

This 2008 does not have the complexity or depth of the 2004 and 2005 Campo Viejo Gran Reservas. The nose does have nice molasses notes and it starts well. There is some bitterness in the middle with a mostly acid, although long, finish.
