Drank over two days. Pretty dark red core with slight brickening rim. Beautiful bouquet of dark fruit, black currant, blackberry and prune, bitter chocolate and violet. Medium plus tannin and acidity. Lingering finish. Second day it gained weight and showed more of its darker fruit but kept a nice balance. Still had plenty of life ahead.

Jan 19th, 2020Campo alla Sughera - Arnione 2006. Drunk over two days. Inky with dark red rim. Still very primary with currant, blackberry, plum in evidence and hint of violets. Cedar, cloves emerge with time as for grilled herbs and leather notes. Good acidity and satisfying finish for a good Bolgheri that shows potential to age.
