Cuvée Saint Paul Arbois Trousseau

Probably past its prime but this was still a treat to drink. Acid and structure were still there but fruit had mostly faded. Birth year wine for my wife 🙌🏻

Slightly over the hill...

Showing its age, but nice tannins and high acid. Great cheese wine. Tart fruits and lots of crushed stone.

Totally clear and bright. Light. Tart red fruit amid earthiness. 40 minutes in acid softened and fruit decayed.

Pale as a ghost, tart fruit, soft tannin, funky umami with air.

Wet leaves and crunchy red fruit, but a bit over the hill.

I have a few more bottles of this to taste. Although Trousseau is such a light skin grape, but it held up to age. It's very burgundian.

Really nice; zingy pure cherryskin, with sone earth and maiatake.
