Only Cameron Hughes we have had in the past was one of the old Yountville lots. From some of the articles we have seen this wine had some high expectations. Ruby red core with slight browning on the edges. Classic Napa nose, lots of dark fruits, dark cocoa and spices. Seems quite rounded. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) with quite a bit of heat, it stings your throat. Moderate body coated with dark fruits and berries, especially creme de cassis. Long lingering finish. Not balanced and needs time to integrate, only time will tell. Wouldn't try this wine again until 2019.

Not identified correctly. Pinot noir. On the deck. Boysenberry dark fruit dirt aroma. Delicate delicate initial berry but fades quickly. Does it open up ? A little. Drinkable but nothing special.
