Pours darker than I would have expected. Very earthy on the nose until it opens up, with mushroom and wild hibiscus. Lush and smooth on the palate, with clean raspberry and lively spice, with a finish resembling freshly baked cookies. Really enjoyable, if not lacking a bit of classic santa Maria acidity.

Juicy and Syrah like. New world Pinot without question. Bramble, cherries with just a whiff of Pinot funkiness. Round and rich on the palate.
