It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious one from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish/ reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blackcurrants, cedar, cooked cherries, spices, light vanilla, chocolates, tobacco, light herbs, graphite, light alcohol and peppercorn.

Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, cherries, currants, earth, cedar, chocolates, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity, although still young, with a smooth mouthfeel.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and show the tannins and the complexity. I used the Zencore for a few minutes.

I've had the 2016 a year ago, which was better. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

A delicious sipping wine to have all by itself or with food like barbecue meats.

Fruit-forward, elegant and rich.

A small production of only 40 barrels.

14.2% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$65.

It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, figs, raisins, chocolates, coffee, cola, vanilla, cedar, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and red chili powder.

This five-year-old is drinking very nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years.

Showing a great nose, once it opens up (4 hours). I had it before, and this time I gave it a much longer decant, which really benefited the nose.

A great wine to have all by itself and talk about. Will be interesting to try it in five years.

Delicious, rich, extracted and fruit forward.

I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

A small production of only 42 barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

94 points.

Dark ruby in color, almost black, with a nice reddish cloudy rim.

Great nose of blueberries, blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, vanilla, cedar, licorice, light earth, chocolates, coffee, mint and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, stewed cherries, chocolates, cedar, leather, licorice, cola, vanilla, light earth, spices, peppercorn, tobacco and cocoa.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. This will not disappoint you, as it is true to the terroir. Rich and tangy. Spicy, elegant and fruit forward.

Still young and would be even better in 5 to 10 years of bottle time. Nevertheless, it is already delicious.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after a couple of hours of airtime. Tannins come in after 2 hours.

I paired it with a Charcuterie board of dries meats and cheeses.

Lavender hits the nose immediately, followed by rose, black current, and black cherry. It’s quite lovely, but it did take about 3-4 days post initial poor to fully open. The palate is similar, with a touch of black pepper. It’s very smooth and velvety. I didn’t think much of this on day one, but it’s opened up quite beautifully. Silky. WTSO price worth it. MSRP not so much.
