Drank 3/5/19. Paired well with shrimp.
My go to every night chardonnay. Right now at around $11, an excellent buy. I enjoyed this vintage perhaps a touch less than others, but overall a great wine and an outstanding value.
Nose of light tropical fruits, a touch of citrus and butterscotch. Palate medium + body with pear, lemon curd, buttery notes, and a hint of oak. A nice balance for those who enjoy a bit of oak in their Chardonnay.

Mild oak aroma. Big burst of oak up front then crime brûlée. Smokey.

Mar 22nd, 2019This bold Chardonnay arm-wrestled me for control of my mouth until at half-bottle we made peace. I developed a respect for it that led me to finish it, and regret its emptiness. Oak aplenty, I sensed cut grass amid a fairly balanced acidity and potent alcohol level. Maybe the rectangular bottle is stronger, and meant to keep this powder keg wine from exploding.

Aug 31st, 2017Starts a bit on the apple pear side of the citrus spectrum. It hints at being a bold oak, full bodied vanilla butter ball but falls short. Finishes just a bit light; but for 13 bucks you can't beat it. Not a Rombauer, but not many can claim that butter ball god status. Get a few bottles and drink it when you don't want to go all out on a 50 buck chard.
