Light mix of garnet and ruby red. Light and elegant nose with lavender, floral, cinnamon and cherries. Some dirtiness and greenery too. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. A bit funky in the palate with some smoky notes. More notes of boiled cherries, minerality, raspberries, spices and anise. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2021.

One of my favorite wines. 8 yrs of age has it ready to drink. Amazing wine from one of the great California wineries that pioneered Pinot in CA but gets too little mention.

This is a different kind of California Pinot. Acid balanced fruit beautifully, and bottle age has softened the tannins. The complexity is there, but you have to dig a little deeper to find it. Really nice.
