Excellent but obviously too young. Upon opening, the nose is expressive but the palette tight. This seems to switch hours later. Finally comes together the second night with a long Burgundian finish. This will be great in 5 to 10 years. Cheers!

Open more than 2 days….was lighter and a little fresher than other recent vintages of Calera I've had. Showed brighter red fruits and bright acidity. '13s could develop really well.

Oregon Pinots are so much better. The sweet spot for value of California Pinot Noir is a few dollars cheaper than Calera, stick to their Chard.

Fresh, wild red cherry, dried, something slightly peppery. Salinity in palate, some lemon citrus, of the earth, in a beautiful place. A light fireplace ash, warmth.
