Yummy!! Super juicy & full-bodied but not too heavy for a warm summer night

Red fruit and earth dominate, with a little cocoa powder in the wings, all shifting register and place across an impressive set of roughly three or four waves of flavor. Pretty, soft bouquet to match. Tannins a little intense this year, not enough substance to integrate these beasts. A pricy if lovely medium-weight only food wine.

2012 vintage. Always consistent with a big fruit nose and taste.

2011 charbono. Sour cherries, fig newtons, spice and little earthy. Great nose on opening but faded a little since.

Succulent stewed plum primer, overcoated with whole black peppercorn and bitter dark chocolate. Subtle star anise off-palate hints to old world ancestry.

Such an interesting low ABV old vine juice. Drink it with the truffle fries at Press and you'll be a happy camper
