Needs to air out and warm up a bit, but then it shows unique scents of wild flowers, flinty minerals, and white pulpy fruit. Intense, linear palate, with equal parts fruit and minerality. Bone dry, and has a light bitterness in the finish that would pair excellently with sweet seafood, like Nantucket Bay Scallops (which are in season right now, but, unfortunately, I’m not in Massachusetts).

Apr 4th, 2022Another terrific wine from Cirro at Le Volpe e l’uva. A little tight at first, but with a bit of air this filled out beautifully. Went great with pesto fettucini w/chicken that we threw together for dinner!
