Greco di Tufo
Gorgeous wine. Nose is cracking. Classic Greco with cracked seahshells, salty, lanolin, barely any fruit just a sense of fruit. Decidedly mineral yet very expressive in that way only Italian whites can be. Palate is engaging and crispy with lovely playful minerality and almost a Rieslingesque vibe. Pure and very sappy. Clean as a whistle. Juicy and deep. Excellent length, crispness and clarity. Lovely concentration and grip. So pure. Long.

Dec 24th, 2019Very similar to my prior notes, but distinctly more of a saline profile on the finish today.
Nose has cold honey, delicate white flowers, moist sand, green melon and fresh hay.
Palate has green melon, lime zest, lemon juice (light), dilute honey and green table grapes.

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.

Loving this nose, more expressive than most of my prior Greco do Tufo experiences, but this also has less bottle age than I generally drink this varietal.

Such a great $25 bottle of wine.
Nose: white flowers and herbs. A mountain meadow.
Palate: lemon. Lemon flower. Minerals. Mountain stream. Wow.
