Sick nose. Floral. Amazing apricot. Insane Greco minerality. Sick perfumed aroma. Smells so insane. Palate is elegant, mineral, beautiful apricot fruit. Amazingly elegant and flatly defined fruit. Concentrated.

This is the “Ariavechia” cuvee. It’s 100% Greco di Tufo DOCG. 11 year old Greco. Ok. What a nose. Super freakishly mineral. Clean, saline, sea breeze. Stunning. Nutty, earthy and mineral are the top aromas. So fragrant. But still smells like it can age longer. So juicy, dry, structure and balanced. This is super serious and needs 3-4 more years. Amazing density and fruit on the palate but a firm mineral backbone and structure to burn. What a finish. This is epic.

Fairly intense greco aromatics. More so than other vintages. Starts to blow off with air. Lemon flowers. Lemon oil. The Greco aspect becomes a beautiful integrated element.

As it aerates more like this lemon flower perfume of the gods.

Palate is lovely Almost honeyed a bit. Mineral. Lemony. Lemon essence. Lemon mountain stream. Very clean and elegant.

As this opens elegant richness. Almost a meursaulty finish. As it opens like rich delicious mountain stream. Some apricot in the background.

It’s almost hilarious what a dedicated team can do when quality is the only thing that matters. This is world class wine.

Minerals that burn your nose. This is what pears and nuts do when they age together and are coated in creme fraiche. Big lemons, pith and fresh juice. It keeps tasting like it’ll get to the bitter point but instead it turns into spice. It tastes like blue cheese all along the tongue. Tons of umami. Love that volcanic smokiness, like good fiano gets too. Does Campanian wine get any better than this? Some oaky sweet spices like vanilla and white pepper and black pepper. Like the spice in the finish. Long finish. It’s big and delicious. I wish I had more stashed away. Where is it, @Lyle Fass ?

Effing epic.

Nose has deep orange peel. Orange flower. Deep dense. A great wine kind of nose. It has that complexity and density that you expect from a world class wine that someone has cellared for a long long time. Like a spring breeze In heaven. So complex.

Palate first hits you with density and minerality and a complex melange of green apple and stone fruits. But old stone fruits. Still bright. Juicy. Definitely has age. So complex. Just blasts different parts of the palate with different flavors all at once.

Finish is long and godly.

If you abandon your burgundy privilege this can compete with top wines from burgundy. It’s amazingly well made. A great vintage. Just a different profile.

An hour in this is a ten. It was a 9.4 on open.

Mad love for This wine. Mad love. Great fruit but not too fruity. Balanced by acidity and minerality. What Italian white wines should be. Delicious but also serious. A hint of integrated petrol. Wow. bought from fass selections ... sooo mineral. From a balance and composition standpoint tastes more like 1er cru white burgundy although the flavors are obviously different.
