This is high mountain Atlas Peak Syrah at its finest. Deep, smoky aromas with notes of blackberries, black cherries, plum and a touch of vanilla. On the palate the tannins have softened and it is a smooth, lush, rich wine. Flavors of black plum with notes of licorice and oak lead to nice acidity and a touch of spice. The finish is long, juicy with just a touch of pepper.

I have a good memory for how I acquire my wines but just not remembering much about this one. Perhaps it was just a “courtesy purchase” so nothing memorable about the experience. Pleasant enough, just not that complex.
