A Costco winner at $35, and a favorite with my big-red wine friends. Modern winemaking would make this one hard to nail down in a blind tasting.

Intense and velvety with beautifully integrated tannins and fruit. Cherry and tons of black fruit. Powerful but delicate. Very nice. $80, 2009
