Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 Anubis, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Aglianco, pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: mixed brambles, black cherry, crème de cassis, purple flowers, poblano pepper and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and texture is soft. Drink now through 2035.

Tonight I have opened the 2015 Caduceus Anubis Red Blend. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 20% Petit Sirah from Wilcox, AZ hand picked from vineyards at 4300 feet and aged for 18 months in French Oak Casks.

On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, black pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, alcohol and oak.

On the palate I am finding black cherry, blackberry, green bell pepper, black currant, licorice, baking spice and rich soil.

This wine is medium to full bodied with medium to + acidity and medium + fine tannins that lead into a medium to long dark fruit finish. My first Arizona wine and not too bad. The weekend starts tomorrow so please be safe and have a great time. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

The '11 was a little more delightful but the 12 is a good bottle. I agree with the other commenter that $60 a bottle is a little high.

When in Sedona... This is pretty nice, but the carbonic maceration really eliminates any Arizona character that I would hope to find (actually it turns out grapes in this were really from SW New Mexico). Also, $50 for carbonic maceration?

No sense of terroir, not super impressed...especially given the $50+ price tag

Decanted and opened up to a complex nose, hints of raisins crushed herbs and earth. Tight tannins that showcase the sirha. Smoke, earth and cigar box are present to end with a mushroom, earth finish. Who would have know that New Mexico had such great fruit!

Deep color and flavor. Dried plums and figs. Goes great with Lamb like a Malbec.
