Dead ringer for a higher end Rias Baixas. So very good!

Really impressed with this wine. This area of California’s landscape and proximity to the Pacific mimics that of Albariño’s home, Rias Biaxas. Salty, tropical, and mineral with good weight and balance.

@Delectable Wine this is the Band of Stones Gruner Veltliner. It’s hard to believe how true to type this is - it’s unmistakably Gruner in aroma and taste and has the structure of a high end bottling. Apples, pears, lemon, little white flowers, and green beans. Long and complex. A wine of great precision, this should drink well for a few years easily.
