Feb 11th, 2019Color of semi translucent ruby with a bit hazy burgundy brush. Nose of fruity berries with powerful alcohol, salty mineral note, spice, and roasted bell pepper. Taste of fruity acidic note, powerful tannins, strawberries, hidden sweetness like dried apricot with a salty note, and a bit peaty and barrel note. Quite light and refreshing. Aftertaste of berries, floral notes, lingering bittersweetness, spice, and dried sensation. Very pleasant experience and suitable for late spring.

Apr 21st, 2016Simply loved this--as savory as it is fruity, this is like a wild foraged basket of dark berries, wild mushrooms, red flowers, and lovage. Nicely balanced, this had plenty of refreshing acid to balance the grainy tannins that argue this will go for at least another 10 years. One to revisit for sure.
