Quite sweet on the nose, with ripe cherry & raspberry, a pinch of spice (cloves, black pepper). But it’s also fresh, juicy, quite enticing. After some time in the glass it loses the sweetness and gets a nice savoury, spicy edge.
Medium bodied on the palate with nice presence and character. Beautiful quality of tannins, juicy, polished, velvety. Nicely poised and balanced and with good depth. Red fruit all the way, with a touch of damson plum and a long l, slightly spicy finish. The wood is fully integrated.
This is drinking very nicely indeed and, for the price, is a steal!
A really nice one!

Like many Portuguese Reserva Reds, it is ruined by oak. This particular oaky aroma will be familiar to Meiomi fans. Better than most of them because of high grape quality.
