It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a beautiful one from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby/inky in color with a short reddish/ brick rim. Doesn't show much age.
Beautiful nose of black currants, black plums, blackberries, raisins, figs, dark coffee, dark chocolates, cedar, light vanilla, tobacco, licorice, light earth, Mediterranean spices and peppercorn.
Full-bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, raisins, vanilla, cola, cedar, licorice, tobacco, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, pencil lead, earth and light black tea.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and raspberries.
What a wonderful surprise this is. This 8 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is delicious.
Rich and opulent, elegant, powerful and classy. Showing great complexity with a very nice mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, but so much better after 2 hours of airtime, so be patient. Loved the tangy long finish going on for a while.
Peaking now and will be good in the next 5 years.
This is so tasty all by itself, but will go very nicely with a nice piece of steak.

Soft balanced great finish love the producer ever since I had the regular 12' which was a real treat. Surprisingly this was available at Whole Foods for about 3 months....
