2005, A pleasant Barolo, not overly complex, and easy to drink. Deep garnet color, nose of black fruits, coffee, and earthiness, medium to full body with pleasant tannins and good acidity, pleasant finish. My score 86, drink to 2018

Nicely balanced Barolo. Aromas and flavors of blackberries, coffee and earth. Medium body with smooth tannins. Deep garnet color and nice acidity. Good structure and finish.

Garnet. Intense aromas of dried red fruit, potpouri, violets, roses, tobacco, cedar. Sweet baking spice but nothing too overt from the oak. Full, velvety tannins. High alc, acid, and body. Lacking some fruit concentration to stand up to the structure. Great for near term drinking with food.

Last night in Geneva, held up to lamb chops but didn't overpower Jill's cod. Very balanced. First experience with this producer, I hope it's not my last. I'll entertain the idea that the location and experience influence my view on this wine, but even so, this might have been the best Barolo I've had.
