Needs to warm up from cellar temp. When it does, I get big smoky blackberry, black olive, and a touch of barnyard to add interest. I only got a taste the last time Nina opened one of these. Big thanks to Nina for a bottle of my own.

Dec 2nd, 2015With a 100+ point wine and all the other great wines tonight, this was my favorite. It didn't hurt that Nina was there and she is always so nice. Concentrated and rich with aromas of smoked meat, and opulent black fruits. By the time I went for a refill, it was gone. Good wines go fast around here.

Keeps getting better the longer it sits out. Recommend decanting. Absolutely fantastic wine. Long finish. Pepper, dark cherry, leather maybe? One of my favorites.
