Estate Vineyards Syrah

Not usually a fan of Napa Syrah but this has something going on. A bit too in your face for my liking but the age helps it a bit. Wouldn't mind trying again in another couple of years.

Dark fruits, with hints of mint and pepper fairly smooth. With some spice on the finish. Not bad for #calisyrah . #napavalley

In full development mode: round, soft fruits and tannins Would order again in a heartbeat

This is so smooth and earthy! Love it!

Love syrah. Love Burgess. This was much less full-bodied and complex than I expected. Nearly no tannic finish without the complexity expected if it were due to aging in the bottle. Overall still better han most wines. Paired with steak and it still held up pretty well.

2009 - had two bottles. Both were excellent. Very good depth of flavor.

Love burgess wines, no exception. Smooth flavor with black cherry and plums.

Lovely. And, I just found it in York, Pennsylvania! Who knew PA ( outside of Philadelphia) had decent wine!
