Dusty with ripe raspberry and strawberry , rubbed dried savory herbs, red cherry, dried cherry and dried figs, cinnamon, nutmeg. Med plus acidity, med plus tannin. Has a lot of going on. What a beautiful wine. Had spicy Thai food pairing with the wine. Goes very well with spicy Thai food. Revisited on second day, dried rose petal and violet showed up, still dominated by red berries and dried dark fruits, dusty and mineral with biting tannin. Still beautiful.

Feb 11th, 2018100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink

Very aromatic. Dark fruit notes medium plus body bright acidity grippy tannins and some herbal notes.
