Disappointed. Buena Vista might be the oldest winery in California, but it’s hardly the finest. They’ve turned what could be a historic estate with great wines into a theme park of little integrity. This wine encapsulates that. Gaudy, shallow, and unenthusiastic.

Fruit forward and very jammy. Silky and velvety smooth. Full bodied. Rich, excellent!

Dark inky color. Visited the winery in 2017. Soft bouquet of spicy berries. Upfront leather spice and tobacco. No fruitiness. Soft tannins on the back. Earthy finish.

Is it good, yes…not my favorite. My wife love it. I’m missing the complexity and love. I’ll need to try another vintage to give a proper rating
