Disappointed. Buena Vista might be the oldest winery in California, but it’s hardly the finest. They’ve turned what could be a historic estate with great wines into a theme park of little integrity. This wine encapsulates that. Gaudy, shallow, and unenthusiastic.

Dark inky color. Visited the winery in 2017. Soft bouquet of spicy berries. Upfront leather spice and tobacco. No fruitiness. Soft tannins on the back. Earthy finish.
