Carneros Chardonnay

Really nice use of oak. (Part hungarian oak). Good wine.

Light sunshine yellow with aromas of stone fruits with citrus notes. On the palate peach and pear flavors with a lemon zest tang, toasty oak and vanilla spice. Good balance on a medium finish ending with some mineral tones.

subtle nose, green apples and apricots caramel notes. too bitter in the palate, it leaves you with an oaky finish of cedar box. not pleasant and alcohol not integrated.

A great surprise. Good balance, fruit and good use of oak.

For $20 at the winery you can't beat this Chard. Middle of the oak road, cod use a bit more acidity for my taste.

Solid wine for seafood. Bottle from 2016 we had it in Belize.

Vanilla, lemon curd, hay, some floral notes on the nose too. This is very fruity and much less mineral than burgundy chardonnay expressions I am used to. The palate is very well made with a great acid drive, some lemon curd and vanilla touches all along, some width, a spherical mid palate before a fruity, vanilla infused finish that last for a long while. Not too shaby!

Oak, stone fruit and some citrus. Light and refreshing but had higher expectations from buena vista.

If you like Chardonnay, it’s bang for the buck!
