Tawny amber color, translucent. Notes of roses and cherries at first, then it quiets down for a few hours. Later it becomes high-pitched and some other notes including wood and anise come on. Feminine in delivery, soft but with some power lurking. Still has decent acidity, w/ tannins somewhat resolved. Very nice and in a good window.

Really stern tannin and not a huge amount of fruit character, but great depth of flavour and concentration. Looked better after 5 hours open than it did after 7 hours, maybe would have been better still the next day
