Tasted blind. Reddish tawny. Translucent and bright appearance. Medicinal nose. Notes of dark fruit, spice, earth. Powerful perfume. In the mouth it’s refined and has great structure. Someone guessed old DRC, I’m in the Chambolle region. Nobody sensed Italian even with this bottle following the ‘71 A Conterno. Later in the evening it was full power Nebbiolo tho. Great treat to try this rare Giacosa vineyard.
