Yummmy. Needs at least one hour decanting to shine. Two is better. Overnight with cork in bottle better still. And the best: cellar this lovely wine for a decade or so. Though young , this barbera showed it could keep@up with the best in the region. Now: floral as hell on the nose. First taste: raisin,, sage, dried vanilla pod, sour cherry, hint of honeysuckle. Mid palate: more raisin, cherry replaced by several spring buds and herbs: savory, thyme, rose petal. Finish lasted longer as we nearly emptied the bottle. For now, it’s too young to pack much wallop here... though might do much better if left to air overnight with that cork half back on top. Tonight we got a hint of what’s to come: more mature herbs and some bolder flavors on the finish and surely much more layering of subtle flavors with age.
