Riserva. Good acidity, tobacco notes, delicate, fruit is fading. I would drink this soon.
Paired with my husband’s homemade Lune Piene, in white truffle butter and shaved truffle! Yum….

Beautiful pairing with a mushroom and black truffle pasta. Give it another few years though, if possible.

Excellent and balanced, cherry, lots of tobacco, round soft tannins, still good acidity and fruits.

For Giacosa, this wine underperforms.

The best red wine I’ve had in many years. Rich notes of leathery/berry notes and does so well after 45 min + decant.

Gorgeous nose, rose, light menthol, pine, balanced fruit and soft tannins, balsamic, cherry, earth, long finish.

Not bad, but riper than I’d like bordering on overripe and lacking depth and persistence.
