Loved this, charming and unapologetic. There’s some nice depth and warming spices coming through, love the just picked fruit character, nice lift and minerality that 2014’s have.

Good juice. Nice red berries, forest floor, and salinity with good acidity.

Bright and lovely. On the nose, slight baking spice and dark red fruit. In the mouth, more of the same. Nice acid, minimal tannins, slightly hollow mid-palate. Medium-long finish. Immediately recognizable as a top level Village burg, if not a Vosne.

Best on second and third days after open. Very tight right now (10.2019) but opens to give good idea of potential. Mostly dark fruit that open to be more lush with time. Less classic VR spices than expected but tobacco is med present. Acidity is strong/med, body is medium for what is typical and all-in-all a above average but not exceptional wine right now.

Bought fav PDX wine shop.

Has the subtle Vosne complexity but has no polish and refinement, qualities expected of fine wine.
