Had at restaurant in Menerbe, FR. Flabby, no lasting finish and not interesting. The most strange SJ I’ve had and not worth remembering - not what you expect from SJ. — 4 days ago
Had in Paris at rustic steakhouse. Delegate and elegant. Lighter in body with acidity, tannins and fruit at med/light levels. Pleasant drinking wine of red fruit. Liked and easy drinking - balance is highlight but muted. — 8 days ago
Had in Portland, OR at Coquine. Winemaker drafts many different types of varietals - even whites and reds - and let’s everything grow naturally. It was dark, robust and very complex - reminded me of inky of sophisticated great Saint Joseph. — 17 days ago
Strikingly complex while also med/light in body with good amount of red fruit. Med/dark in color and bits of spice, earth, red fruit and smoke and vanilla I love is present. Palate is 80/20 red fruit / black fruit. Built to age - had some 10 hours later and still enjoyable to drink.
Son of winemaker took over and is implementing new world process. Some whole cluster, less oak, more fruit. Wine specialist at restaurant in Beaune said would be a big deal in years to come...

Bought at place by gym in SF. Quickly after open, was very dusty and dry with black fruit. But, after a while red fruit and juicy fruit developed. Medium/light color of ruby. Leather, red currant and raspberry and sharp notes on nose. Minerality, red fruit and med/juice on palate. — 10 days ago
Luscious red currant, tobacco, minerality and slightly more juicy than expected. Love this and unusual. — 17 days ago
Bought at wine store near hotel in Paris fall ‘19. Quite dry, tobacco, black fruit but juicy and elegant/lingering. Light-ish acidity, dark / thin red ruby color. — 7 days ago

Bought at local SF store near gym. Great color med red ruby color with unfiltered opaqueness. Nose of tart red fruit and freshly cut flowers. Nice med acidity on the palate, Burgundian finesse, light earthy notes. Really like this wine. — 12 days ago
