Nov 21st, 2017Candied cherries, menthol, sandalwood, and minerals. Good structure and softer tannins (I'm guessing bc it's a warmer vintage). Have always loved Brooks wine and their story. The longer it's open the better it is.

Aug 12th, 2017A blend of 40+ year-old Pommard and Dijon clone Pinot Noir grown in volcanic soil, the 2012 Brooks Janus offers considerable drinking pleasure for its price point. Sun-warmed raspberries still on the vine, juicy Bing cherries, dust, earth, and field lavender, this heady and aromatic Willamette Valley Pinot recalls warm summer evenings. On the palate, it's supple and fresh, with layers of red and black fruit, and a firm acidic spine. Finishes with a pinch of clove and allspice. ABV 13.2% | Sample
