This vintage is true to an Italian field blend, made from all Italian grapes harvested on the same day in September: 47% Sangiovese Piccolo, 34% Dolcetto, and 19% Ribolla Gialla (no Sauvignon Blanc this year). Grown in the Fox Hill Vineyard. 335 cases. Juicy and bright raspberries, blueberries and cherries, but dry and light-bodied.

Still tasting fantastic. Raspberries, a bit of plum, some cherry. There’s a great floral/grassy note that is likely from the Sauvignon blanc. Finish is fruity with forest and salinity. Great with food.

Aug 22nd, 2022Light bodied red with bright crunchy red fruit but there is a woodsy component and a great finish of cherries and earth. Good with Moroccan food tonight. I could imagine this perfect with most meals.
