What a fun wine. Skin macerated and raised in oak (for two years!), textural, mature with surprising freshness. First experience with a wine from Bosnia-Herzegovina, the grape Zilavka and the producer Brkic. Love the inscription on the back label, "I will make wines likes this or I will not make them at all."

White decaying fruit, fresh papaya, mai tai! Well constructed palette of off bitter clear white fruit. Finish short. Solid

Skin contact, on the lees for two years, and still still drinking light and fresh. Žilavka (zhee-lav-ka)!

Funky 🍐. A terroir of distinction, though not as diverse a pairing as I had hoped. (My first Bosnian wine)
