An earthy nose of blackberries, dark cocoa, and wet sand. A bit spritzy on the tongue with black currants, raspberries, and nutmeg, calming into deeper cherry, Italian plums, creme de cassis, brine and field mushrooms. Served slightly chilled and grows in interest over time.

For such a "killer" vintage, I'm not overly impressed. I think I just liked the '11 so much I was expecting more from this one. It's certainly not bad though!
