Light and nimble with a seductive side. Nose of mulling spice and bakers caramel. Wonderfully integrated. Lovely flavors of carnations, lush cranberry/cherry, cardamom and spice on the back of the palate. Terrific length in the finish.

Dec 20th, 2016Decanted for three hours, light in color-as in you could almost see through the decanter. Sweet tobacco and mulberry fill the nose. Somewhat one dimensional on the palate, black cherry and baker spice...that's it. Same spice carries over in the finish that goes on forever. A bit of a let down.

3D vineyard. Menthol, red fruit, potting soul and sweet tobacco. Tannins are a bit hard. Needs more time.

Beautiful nose on this, remembering why I bought this while in the tasting room in Sta. Rita Hills (nice little spot in Los Olivos, highly recommend). Med+ intensity on the nose with bright cherry and strawberry. A bit of cedar/vanilla, but not much. Floral notes that almost turn to candy or runts. Nice on the palate too with a big pop of red fruit, med+ acidity and nice fine, integrated tannins. Long finish that sort of turns from sweet to tart cherry. Just a really nice wine. I scored a 93 but guessing this will improve and become a bit more elegant with a few more years.

2019 vintage. 100% whole cluster lifted bright red and blue fruits with great depth, complexity and a special flavor and finish. Still needs time and/or good decant. A special wine.
