Tonight I am trying another Pinot from the same winemaker but a different vineyard. The color of this Pinot is giving me hope for a better wine. The color is a bright ruby red which is pleasing to look at, just the look is better than yesterday's. The nose is giving up strawberry, raspberry, hints of vanilla and minerality. On the palate again I get the strawberry, raspberry coming thought with good acidity. There is even a nice tannin offering. This is a much better effort than what I had yesterday night though that was from 2008 and this one is from 2009. The fruit on this continues right through to the finish and lasts a good long while. Much better and worth the $22.

Oregon coast pinot? Not quite, but these are probably the westernmost vineyards in Oregon. Promising!
